Summary
Agility is a great way to have fun while bonding with your dog. This class will introduce you and your dog to the world of agility! All equipment will be very low impact which will enable your dog to try new things without fear. This is a chance for them to get used to the sights and sounds of the agility world in a safe and positive manner. The key is to build confidence!
Description
Dogs will learn on lowered equipment and can gradually increase height as confidence builds. The class is designed to be a fun activity that both owners and canines can enjoy.
Handlers and dogs will be introduced to each obstacle and shown how to perform it.
- Obstacles include: A-Frame, Teeter, Jumps, Hoop, Platform, Weaves, and Small Dog Walk
Handlers will be taught body language, agility terminology, and ways to hit the contacts
At the end of the class, handler and dog will be given the chance to run a practice course.
Lots of treats and toys are used to reward dogs while they learn to keep them motivated, so bring whatever motivates your dog!
